2012 Legendary Part of the Year…

“ROCK TIL YOU DROP”…….Rocky and the Rollers have been doing this for so many years here in Sandpoint…they could almost have an Idaho Residency! They have added so much to our weekend that it’s time to give them a night to show off all their stuff….this year we will mix up your world and give you a night with Rocky and the Boys …and for those who have not made it to the Panida on Thursday night we are going to add “Elvis to the Party”..Same Party… more dancin’ and will be lots of fun with prizes for best dressed or best twister ….we’ll find more reasons to give more fun stuff! Don’t forget “Club Flamingo” if you didn’t go to the dance last year you might have missed some fun….

SO NOT TO STRAY FROM OUR ROOTS…the next night we’ll give you another night of the Legends. Most people will remember the tunes more than the names “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” by The Tokens with Jay Siegel and another great name joining the Tokens is …Jay Traynor former lead singer of Jay and the Americans and was also the lead singer of The Mystics. The Tokens were inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2004…other hits “Tonight I fell in Love”… “Portrait of My Love”….“I Heard the Trumpets Blow” lots of great music to rock the house….but that’s not all…. Let’s give it up for The Reflections with their biggest hit on the Billboard Chart at #5.. “Just like Romeo and Juliet”…they had several others that hit the Billboard and Cashbox Magazine charts Top 30 like… “Poor Man’s Son”…

“Shabby Little Hut”… “Like Columbus Did”… Another Year of Great Doo Wop Music that promises to be a great Weekend of fun !

Starts at the High School goes north down Division Street … right on Cedar Street… turns right on Forest Street….. then left on Church Street … down to First Avenue & back up Cedar Street.

Just a reminder that during the Parade NO THROWING CANDY OR ANYTHING OUT OF YOUR CARS…NO BURNING RUBBER… OUR POLICE DEPT DOES NOT WANT TO ISSUE ANY CITATIONS…..MORE TO THE POINT WE WANT YOU TO HAVE A TICKET LESS FUN WEEKEND !!!
